Biography

Benjamin Hopf is a German designer, based in Munich and is well known for his work in lighting and product design. He co-founded büro für form in 1998 with Constantin Wortmann, creating innovative lighting and furniture pieces.

In 2007 he established his own studio, Studio Benjamin Hopf, focusing on minimalist and functional designs. His work is characterized by clean lines, modern aesthetics, and a blend of form and function. His speciality is adding a second layer of emotion and associative qualities to his designs. Hopf has collaborated with brands like Serien, Vibia, Kundalini, Next and many others.

In 2008 Benjamin Hopf established the lighting label Formagenda, earning recognition in the design world. Hopf's work has been showcased at major design exhibitions and fairs, reinforcing his influence in contemporary product and lighting design. Formagendas products feature an elegant simplicity that makes them timeless and versatile. Formagenda products have been awarded many times for for its modern, clean lines, geometric forms, and high-quality craftsmanship.
